ABSTRACT
Presented is a case of bilateral breast uptake on follow up radioiodine whole body scan of a nonlactating breast of a single nulliparous woman with thyroid cancer which mimicked pulmonary metastases. Different physiological processes can cause potentially ambiguous appearances in radioiodine whole body scans; appropriate understanding of the causes can preclude diagnostic faults.
